The King of Kings gets ready for battle

In a few weeks I will stage a play-test of Alala! with Persians in preparation for the Society of Ancients Cunaxa Battle Day. The proposed amendments can be freely downloaded from my website here.

Getting ready has involved painting a lot of Persians by several of our group. Above are Artaxerxes' formidable scythed chariots.

Here are some of his Persian heavy cavalry.

It will be interesting to see how Alala! works with the Persians. I shall post any further amendments after the game on 7 Oct.
