Persians for Cunaxa

Artaxerxes King of Kings is calling up his men to fight off his brother Cyrus' rebellion.

It helps that we have pressed several good men into service to equip (ie: paint) the many Persians we will need to re-fight Cunaxa at the 2026 Society of Ancients Battle Day.

This unit is the first of the 6000 heavy cavalry that Artaxerxes deploys in the centre of his line.

Supporting them are some lighter cavalry.

And we also have the first of Artaxerxes' scythed chariots.

Artaxerxes had 150 such chariots and we will represent them with 5 models. So a few more to paint still.

I have put together additional rules for Alala! to take into account the various Persian troops, including the scythed chariots. They are available as a free download here.
